While I have yet to tire of the endless stream of ‘Republicans are soooo Fucked’ pieces that have been appearing on every website and in every newspaper and magazine on a daily basis for the past few months, let’s get one thing straight. The GOP doesn’t have a Hispanic problem. It doesn’t have a women problem or a black problem or a youth problem either. Their problem is themselves. The Republican base is the only problem the GOP has. Their values and priorities are so out of sync with the rest of the country’s, and there is no way to please them and appeal to the rest of America at the same time. It’s just impossible.
