They are demeaning Kanye West. Ladies and gentlemen, Kanye West is African-American, and as we are learning from the State-Controlled Media, any criticism of Obama is racist and therefore it follows, any disapproval of whatever Kanye West did has to be racism.

Rush Limbaugh, From Kids on Bus to Kanye West: Race Rules All in Obama’s America

robot-heart-politics:

So when Obama called Kanye a jackass, does that mean Obama is a racist against black people? Or is Obama a racist against white people, and the Kanye thing was just a flub? Or are you a racist for viewing all black people as interchangeable? Or are you just a political opportunist calling Obama a racist because you disagree with his politics, and it will score you political points with the angry right? Or am I a racist for insinuating you might be a racist, because in your opinion, I’m only calling you a racist because I disagree with your political opinion…or do you just think I’m a political opportunist for calling you a racist, and you don’t actually think I’m racist? Or are we all racist for even bothering to bring up the topic of race and mentioning that maybe, somewhere, there might be people in America who are racist and they may or may not be acting on their racist impulses…because as we all know talking about racism is the most racist thing of all?

What a mess. And it stems mostly from the fact that most people use racism as an inflammatory term that means basically nothing to most white people except where it can be hurled as an insult or to inflame racial fears. This isn’t an “honest conversation.” It’s just another shouting match.
