The Fall Classic begins tonight in New York (you lucky bastards) and while the match up of the Yankees and Phillies falls short of the amazing and dramatic possibilities of L.A. and N.Y. squaring off — a dream that ended with one swing of the bat last week in Philidelphia— for what would have seen East against West, young against old in Torre against his replacement Girardi, and the desert heat of palm trees and pink jacketed broadcasters alternating with the biting fall weather of N.Y. in October, I’ll still watch this one, if only for the Pinstripes. Where the hell is Philidelhpia anyway?? Why do these people have to ruin things like that? You better make up for it by making this one good. 7 games or NOTHING.
Hate to break it to you Dave, but it’s pissing rain over here. Regardless, GO YANKEES!
