I went looking around for Hillary’s weird Christmas campaign TV ad just to make fun of it a bit, and found this version in which some crafty right-winger has added on the cost of her proposed programs as she nestles them under the Christmas tree. And it’s this kind of thing that really blows my mind about America. There’s the war in Iraq — which whoever put together this video inevitably supports — costing almost $500 billion to date, and this asshole is complaining about the $110 billion cost of universal healthcare. Sure, that’s a shitload of money, but it’s to make sure that everyone in the country can see a fucking doctor. Don’t you love your country? Shouldn’t the cost of insuring everyone in it be worth it?
